Elections 2010: republican hispanic candidates the better ones nation wide

Susana Martinez, a Latina candidate for governor in New Mexico is leading in the polls as two other running for governors running respectable races like Marco Rubio in Florida and Brian Sandoval in Nevada.   My goodness, how shocking that in 74 elections being held this year, that Latino Democratic nominees are missing while the GOP is providing more yet few political opportunities overall. What’s up?  In New York State, the slate is all white and male for the two top posts both in  the Republican and Democratic race for governor. Why?
