While you’re writing about issues outside of Buffalo, just this past week, your local Buffalo City Council member, “Hon” David Rivera, denied the appointment of the first Puerto Rican as the Corporation Counsel when his name was up for Council confirmation. You need to research and write about this issue. The city of Buffalo was about to make HISTORY and it took a PUERTO RICAN to kill this advancement for Buffalo’s Puerto Rican-Latino community. What the hell is happening in Buffalo? Instead of things getting better due to the increasing number of Latinos, things are getting worst…. Please Maria, this is an issue that should be covered by your important media outlet as you are the only legitimate voice for the Buffalo Latino community. All the others are only interesed in “advertising money.”

Thanks for your comments, writing about issues about Puerto Ricans and Latinos outside of Buffalo is also a mission of the Puerto Rican Press. The case of David Rodriguez has more to do with his involvement with the Mayor’s political faction and running for a committeeman position in the Niagara District opposing Councilman Rivera and a divided community through gerrymandering unable to challenge what happened. Always enjoy reading your comments and feedback.
