Alvin Greene indicted
He graduated with a degree in political science from the University of South Carolina in 2000, served in the Army, the Army and Air Force national guards, and granted the Air Force Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and Korean Defense Service Medal.
Yet, his claim to fame rapidly reported in all the newspapers and internet sites world-wide when he garnered the votes of more than 100,000 South Carolinians on June 8th, winning nearly 60 percent of the vote and trouncing, Vic Rawl, former judge and a four-term state legislator for the Democratic nomination as a US Senator in South Carolina.
And, they all wanted him out of the race from the state’s Democratic Party chairman who asked him to withdraw from the general election to the House Majority Whip James E. Clyburn (D-S.C.) ,calling for federal and state investigations.
But , Alvin Greene , U.S. Senate candidate is a felon today Friday, August 13th, indicted on pornography charges, involving a South Carolina college student.
And the saga of the 32-year-old unknown African-American who outwitted and successfully won the Democratic primary for a Senate seat earlier in June with less than $200 dollars to the chagrin of the Democratic establishment in South Carolina sadly ended.
