Election 2010: pigeon snubbs blogging goddess
Artvoice disclosed today the top legal counsel to Senate Majority Leader, Pedro Espada, Jr. former Erie County Democratic Party Chairman, G. Steven Pigeon was celebrating a birthday party at the Buffalo & Erie County Historical Museum. And it encouraged readers to “stop in and see who his guests are?”
The blogging goddess called one of her Democratic operatives to get the scoop on the birthday bash and possibly peak in to see the guests in an election year as things get heated in the electoral arena. But Pigeon not familiar with the blogging goddess less knowledgeable about the peons in the local Puerto Rican/Latino community in the region declined the friendly request. Instead he offered to ask Sen. Pedro Espada to telephone the goddess sometime in the future, also, mutually declined of course.
The Democratic operative called it a private affair…? Hmm? Perhaps so for his Democratic clan that is and the blogging goddess instead spent the time scheduling her next affair. The goddess tried to find information about his party in the media outlets but found hardly any as the Espada advisor turned it into a low-key affair just for family and friends…
But doesn’t he deserve a happy birthday wish too since he orchestrated a coup with Sen. Espada last summer, helping to bestow upon him the coveted title of the first Puerto Rican ever elected Senate Majority Leader in the history of New York State? So, what if it got him a $150,000 job as top legal dog to Espada.
Dionne Warwick sang at Congressman Charles B. Rangel’s birthday bash Wednesday reminding them of her signature song, “that’s what friends are for…” …and the blogging goddess wishes señor Pigeon un Feliz cumpleaños.
