Election 2010: Italian Heritage parade

October 9, 2010

Council Member, Michael LoCurto

It was a short Italian Heritage Parade down Hertel Ave today on a pleasantly wonderful day with lots of sunshine. A perfect day for a parade.

Judge Hank Nowak, Rogers, County Clerk Kathy Hochul, GOP Senate candidate  Mark Grisanti, Councilman Michael LoCurto and GOP gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino supposedly in  a yellow duck outfit peering out from a pick-up truck, obviously not him waved at the sparse crowd of onlookers on the sidewalks  as they walked down Hertel Avenue.

Also, a  Cuomo-Duffy group with a banner,  Judge James McLeod,  Senator Antoine Thompson with his entourage, the Knights of Columbus, the  Maritime Charter School and a few other groups walked in the parade.  Pretty much that was all seen today at the Italian Heritage Parade on Hertel Avenue at 1 PM”, while signs of “Carl Country,” “I’m mad too, Carl,” “Paladino for the People,”  “Paladino for Governor,” “Another changed Democrat,”posted on billboards, sidewalks,  and store fronts graced Hertel Avenue. Sorrento Cheese  and Councilman LoCurto sponsored  the Italian Parade.
