Election 2010: Indictments galore & the ghost of Espada still in the chambers

October 27, 2010

It can’t get anymore politically embarrassing for some when  the indictments possibly come down from the state inspector general report last week on the process of awarding the Aqueduct racino contract. Democratic Conference Leader John Sampson, Senate President Malcolm Smith, Senator Eric Adams and others involved in the scandal.  The  findings in the report referred to ” U.S. attorney’s office, Manhattan DA Cy Vance Jr. and the Legislative Ethics Commission,” as reported in the NYdaily news.

And the Legislative Ethics Commission started  investigating the  hiring of  Pedro G. Espada son of the former Majority leader Pedro Espada, Jr.,  for a position  he resigned from last August.

The indictments might extend to Buffalo as well.
