Election 2010: Is Paladino the too late candidate?
In a PolitickerNY news story it noted Carl Paladino had a campaign change game plan, sounding more like a conventional candidate, “but it might not matter.”
Marist pollsters, Lee Miringoff, said, “upsets can occur, but the gap has too substantially narrow, and there’s no indication of that occurring at this point…” And”there would have to be a major game-changer of sorts—a dramatic revelation or an incredibly odd turnout pattern.”
While, John Jay LaValle, the Republican chairman in Suffolk County added, “I think he’s very firmly situated upstate, and I think the battle is going to be won in the Hudson Valley and down to Long Island…”
And,” Maurice Carroll, director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute, said, Attorney General Andrew Cuomo can start measuring the Executive Mansion curtains. This race is all but over.” The Republican sweep expected is not going to happen at least that is what the pollsters are predicting.
