Assemblyman Peter Rivera response to firing top aide and the Latino Report Agenda controversy
Capitol Tonight Reporter Liz Benjamin conducted an interview with the embattled Assemblyman Peter Rivera Wednesday on the firing of his top aide Guillermo Martinez in the Latino Agenda controversy. She asked him why he had taken issue with the Report firing Mr. Martinez working for him nine years? Regardless of his reasons, Assemblyman Rivera doesn’t believe it is the proper time to raise the issues in the Latino Agenda Report with the Governor-Elect Andrew Cuomo. What do you think? Is it the proper time to raise the issues in the Report with the Governor Elect? Did Assemblyman Rivera act appropriately in how he handled his staff member? Most importantly though is this the right time to raise the issues in the Report with the Governor-Elect as the transition teams begins the process of appointing key people to the new administration state-wide?
